The programme committee invite abstracts related to the theme,
Whakataukī – connection, collaboration and learning.
Abstracts are welcomed from registered nurses, nurse practitioners and researchers who demonstrate person centred, palliative care delivery. We particularly welcome presentations related to innovative nursing practice, with a psychosocial, cultural or ethical theme / thought.
We hope to host new voices and new visions for practice and aim to provide an invigorating and thoughtful day for all.
The day will host keynote speakers, presentations, palliative pearls and case studies.
All work submitted for a presentation must be original. The onus remains with the primary author to ensure all authors/institutions consent to the material being presented at the conference.
Brief abstracts are required and will be selected through the peer review process. Authors whose abstracts are accepted for presentation in the seminar will be expected to register for the day.
Submission of abstracts and supporting information is only possible through the “Call for Abstracts” tab above.

What is required from Presenters in the online Submission process:
A Title is required and should be brief, but explicit.
Brief Abstracts (up to 250 words) are required for all presentations. They need to provide some form of introduction into what the presentation will cover.
All presenting and any contributing (non-presenting) Authors need to be listed. For “Affiliation”, the name of their organisation / employer is required.
No audiovisual details are sought – refer to the next section.
How your virtual presentation will work:
Once accepted into the programme, presentations will be allocated an appropriate 15 or 30 minute slot in the day’s programme.
Basically, the virtual presentation requires:
– a strong Internet connection
– a computer camera and microphone for your face and voice
– you then share any images, PowerPoint slides or on-screen material by using a “Shared Screen” facility.
All presenters will be engaged in a practice session or two (with Eddy, the meeting manager) in the 1-2 x weeks beforehand. This will enable your connection and equipment to be tested, and then give you a very good idea of how the whole virtual scenario and software works. You don’t need to install any special software or the like.
CLOSING DATE
The Closing Date for receipt of all Abstracts is Thursday 30th April 2026.
